When you publicly state your goals, it makes them easier to achieve. Let's explore the benefits of putting your goals into the Universe.

If you’re looking to reach new heights in both your personal and professional pursuits, goalsetting can be a powerful tool. It can help you to achieve the success you have never dreamed of before. So many people don’t fully realize their personal or professional potential because they keep these goals to themselves. Keeping your goals private does avoid vulnerability in letting others see your goals. But it also lets you avoid the accountability that comes with publicly stating them. Simply posting your goals on social media or communicating them to your close friends or family will make them so much easier to reach.

Stating goals creates accountability

First and foremost, putting your goals out into the Universe creates accountability. When you make the choice to share your goals with others, you are making two commitments. You are making a commitment to yourself to reach your goals. You are making a commitment to those you state your goals to that you are going to work towards achieving them. When you make this commitment public, you are creating a sense of accountability. This can be a very powerful motivator to help you stay on track and to make progress toward your goals.

Sharing your goal with the Universe

When you state your goals to others, you are also sharing them with the Universe. What we put out into the Universe, we get back. Putting your goals out there will help you to manifest them more easily. This is done by communicating them to others, posting them on social media, writing them on your marker board, and putting them on sticky notes on your mirror. Any way that you share your goals puts them out there and makes them easier to manifest.

Publicly state your goals to inspire others

Another benefit of publicly stating your goals is the potential to inspire others. So often, we have no idea what others are striving towards or going through. When we publicly share our goals, it’s likely we will inspire others who are working towards similar goals. Those with similar aspirations will see our progress and words harder toward their goals. Seeing someone else working on their goals, even when they are not successful, can be such a powerful motivator. You will likely find that your actions and achievements inspire others to set their own goals and work to achieve them.

Solidifying your intentions

Publicly stating your goals creates accountability, provides support, and gives inspiration to others. It can also help you to clarify and solidify your inventions. When you decide to share your goals with others in your life, you have to put your aspirations into words. This, in turn, makes you articulate what you hope to achieve. Going through this process can help you to clarify your goals and your intentions. When you do so, it will allow you to make a more concrete plan for achieving them. This aligns with the process of SMART goal setting. Making clear goals for yourself will make them infinitely easier to achieve.

Say goodbye to fear and self-doubt by publicly stating your goals

Another benefit to publicly stating your goals is that it can help you to overcome fear and self-doubt. So often, we keep our goals to ourselves out of a fear of failure or perhaps a lack of confidence in our ability to achieve them. However, when you put your goals out there by publicly stating them, you are taking ownership of your aspirations. Doing this can be such a powerful way to help build confidence and to overcome any self-doubt that may be holding you back. Sharing your goals is so much more powerful and helpful than keeping them to yourself.

Risks outweigh the rewards

Nothing in life is without risk, and this is no different. Not every goal will be one that you successfully achieve, and you may feel embarrassed or ashamed in front of those who know about your goals. However, it is imperative to remember that failure is a natural part of the process of achieving success. Setbacks and challenges are to be expected and instead of being looked at negatively, they should be viewed as ways to learn. When you publicly state your goals, it's not a guarantee of success. But it does help you to create an environment in which you are much more likely to achieve them.

Publicly stating your goals can be an amazingly powerful tool to achieve success in both your personal and professional life. When you create accountability, provide and receive support, inspire others, clarify your intentions, overcome your fear and self-doubt, and put your goals into the Universe, you are much more likely to achieve them. It is important to remember that failure is a natural part of this process. Publicly stating your goals is part of a recipe for success, but it’s not a guarantee of success. By taking this step adn making your goals public, you are setting yourself up for a greater chance of success and personal growth.
